I love to teach, so my goal as a Personal Trainer is to help people learn the ‘how and why’ of the human body, as well as how to take care of yours and improve it over the course of a lifetime. My clients can expect to decrease chronic pain, correct muscular imbalances, improve posture and breathing, and increase coordination and balance. All this happens in addition to each individuals’ personal goals. Here’s why I do what I do..
I played football for Peabody High, just north of Boston. I loved every second, but football is a tough sport and I was left with an immense amount of pain and very little hope about it improving. I went to Springfield College and got my degree in Athletic Training in hopes that I could help others to avoid this fate. I gained a deep understanding of anatomy, exercise, recovery and injury prevention.
After College I spent a few years doing Sports Massage, where I was able to apply some of what I learned to people of all backgrounds, from athletes to desk jockeys. Despite what rigors life threw at each individual they all had one thing, pain. The myofascial release techniques I used were extremely effective, but the effects were transient. Fixing the body by addressing the symptoms can only be so effective, so now I direct my energies towards fixing whatever problem is causing the symptoms.
I’ve found that the most effective way to correct and bolster the body is through a combination of exercise, recovery and education.
Come work with me and I'll teach you what I’ve learned. Together, we can build your body to conquer the athletics of everyday life, whatever that means to you! Please reach out with any questions. I'd love to chat about how I can help.
